We are proud to announce that the City of El Cajon is one of 17 recipients to receive funding from California’s Clean Mobility Options (CMO) Voucher Program to launch an on-demand microtransit service.
CMO’s Voucher Program addresses two major problems in California: Air pollution and the lack of clean transportation options for low-income or disadvantaged communities.
We are excited to give our residents a more affordable clean transportation option to get to places within the City.

AB 413: Updated Parking Violations
Assembly Bill No. 413 was approved by the Governor and filed with the Secretary of State on October 10, 2023. This bill prohibits the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle within 20 feet of the vehicle approach side of any unmarked or marked crosswalk or 15 feet of any crosswalk where a curb extension is present.
Prior to January 1, 2025 the bill authorized jurisdictions to issue only a warning for a violation, unless the violation occurred in an area marked using paint or a sign, in which case a citation for a violation would be issued.
After January 1, 2025 jurisdictions are authorized to issue a citation for a violation even if crosswalks are unmarked.
