The Private Development division works with developers to ensure new commercial properties, residential complexes, and mixed-use developments are completed to the City of El Cajon’s standards.

Private Development helps process requirements for:

• Encroachment permits for work in public right-of-ways
• Grading plans for any grading activity on public/private property
• Lot splits and subdivisions
• Sewer lateral video inspections
• Sidewalk vending permits
• Wide load/transportation permits
