Project Summary
Watch out for the Cajon (Cone) Zone! An exciting and extensive paving project will begin Summer 2025! Major city streets such as Chase Avenue, Fletcher Parkway, Broadway, Cuyamaca Street, Magnolia Avenue, and several other streets will get a refresh. On this project alone, over $6 million of your gas and sales tax dollars will go directly to our streets. 24 lane miles or 1.8 million square feet of roads will have old, deteriorated asphalt replaced with durable and high quality asphalt that will last for years to come. After paving is complete, crews will install new roadway striping including high-visibility crosswalks and bike lanes that will significantly increase safety at night.
To minimize disruption and prioritize safety, paving of busy streets like Chase Avenue, Magnolia Avenue, and Fletcher Parkway will happen at night. Residents are encouraged to stay informed on the progress of the project through the City's social media pages and website.
