Over 15,000 were in attendance at this free, family event, which featured a special opening and closing celebration, including a Salute to our Veterans with Congressman Duncan Hunter, a former Marine, who led the tribute. The theme was based on Centennial banner venues throughout the event, complete with interactive and historical displays. There were two stages with community and musical entertainment, a marketplace, vintage cars for each decade, NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson's #48 show car, and a reunion of Stock Car Racers from the days of the Cajon Speedway. For the kids, there were numerous crafts, pony rides, a petting zoo, a rock climbing wall, a cowboy boot camp and much more As part of the closing ceremony, a one-of-a-kind Taylor Guitar was given away to one lucky person who's name was drawn after completing the El Cajon Passport.
